Held in July, the Mildura Writers Festival presents three days of words, food and wine featuring Australian and international writers.
Established and emerging writers are acknowledged through the Philip Hodgins Memorial Medal presented to a consistently outstanding Australian writer and the Tina Kane Emergent Writer Award.
Throughout the weekend invited guests and audience members intermingle freely sharing an experience that provides thoughtful and challenging ideas about writing and literature in general. Providing much needed cultural enrichment for remote and regional audiences, it’s little wonder this inspiring Festival attracts return visitors year after year.
