From Italy with Love

Across summer 2019, From Italy With Love (now the Murray River Music Festival) presented four exceptional concerts around the Mildura region. The program featured Australian and International artists.

Exquisite romantic repertoire by Ravel, Poulenc and Saint Saens, performed by one of Europe’s most acclaimed oboists with Australian pianist Anthony Halliday.

Sergio de Pieri – piano

Sergio de Pieri is most well known as an organist performing, teaching and recording in Australia and internationally. He recently began a new career as a pianist, and will perform a program of Bach, Chopin and Morricone.

Davide Monti – violin

Italian violinist Davide Monti will perform works from an era when composers’ sketches often demanded and expected the brilliant, devilish improvisatory skills of a master violinist.

St Margarets Anglican Church interior was renovated in 2018, and is now an exquisite performance venue, with excellent air conditioning and brilliant acoustics.
