Creating art means creating copyright.
Join us at Arts Connect Mildura: Arts Law for a workshop on Copyright 101 for artists, followed by one-on-one legal advice clinics by appointment.
Senior Solicitor Trudie Sarks (Arts Law Centre of Australia) will walk you through owning and using your copyright, knowing your moral rights and, creating copyright with others. This session uses practical examples, case studies from artists’ experiences and hypothetical scenarios to help make copyright accessible. Book early if you’d like a private legal consultation following the workshop.
This event is part of Regional Arts Victoria’s Arts Connect program: a series of free, one-day professional development events responds to the specific needs of regional artists and arts organisations, supporting communities to drive the development of their own creative practice.
The sessions are free and open to everyone, but bookings are essential and places are limited. BOOK HERE
